The Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Group in partnership with Northwest Woolen Mills in Woonsocket held a holiday giving campaign in December that enabled them to donate close to 160 wool blankets to Crossroads Rhode Island, one of the state’s largest homeless shelters.

 

Through the campaign Ambassadors collected more than $900 in donations with which they used to purchased 79 queen size woolen blankets through Northwest Woolen Mills, which provided a matching contribution. Members of the Ambassador Group and Chamber staff delivered the 159 blankets to Crossroads earlier this month. Crossroads was delighted and most grateful for the efforts of the Ambassador Group in making this campaign a tremendous success.
